SECURITY SPECIALIST - TITLE 32

As a SECURITY SPECIALIST - TITLE 32, GS-0080-9, you will serve as a state Security Monitor. Coordinate security and intelligence matters to include review of state directives and regulations. Advise on programs to include physical security, information security, operations security, communications security, personnel security, etc. Manage required security measures for state ARNG personnel, equipment, weapons, facilities, etc. Develop security plans and conduct inspections. Implement security regulations through random sampling of classified documents. Evaluate clearances authorized to ensure the appropriate clearance level of personnel. Indoctrinate personnel on the criteria for classifying, downgrading, declassifying, marking and disseminating information IAW regulations. Alert personnel of improper use and abuse of the classification systems. Review procedures for safeguarding classified material. Conduct security surveys/inspections. Establish and oversee the classified document program. Develop and publish guidance. Advise and assist on personnel security issues. Ensure security clearance rosters are maintained. Develop special security clearance requirements. Make recommendations regarding individuals that need clearances and those individuals that no longer require security clearances. Must have experience in a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems. Ability to develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods. Experience in information, personnel, and physical security to effectively implement, integrate and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs. Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have 24 months experience conducting intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices in support of all sensitive compartmented information-associated security programs. Experience implementing policies and procedures required to manage/protect sensitive information programs. Knowledgeable on maintaining currency and protection of different security program interrelationships, requirements, regulations and guidance. Experience researching, interpreting, analyzing and applying a variety of regulations, policies and manuals applicable to sensitive compartmented information-associated security programs. Experience complying with Sensitive Compartmented Information facilities, construction and physical requirements, standards and regulations. Experience assessing Special Security Office self-inspections and presenting reports with consistent follow-up work to ensure complete and quality discrepancies resolutions improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency. Experience may include implementing the Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance program and maintaining current and completed clearances for assigned personnel. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
