EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST - TITLE 32

As a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST - TITLE 32, GS-0344/1670-7/9, you will provide instruction and assistance regarding equipment maintenance procedures, techniques, and methods as a part of the Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Team. Provide advice, assistance, and guidance regarding maintenance management systems, material readiness programs, cost reduction programs, and maintenance shop practices in maintenance facilities. Prepare and conduct training designed to upgrade, improve, and/or update the knowledge and working skills of unit maintenance personnel. Develop, write, update, and teach units of instruction for new equipment training. Perform hands on maintenance procedures to personnel on proper trade techniques, practices, and explains safety precautions involved in maintenance. Recommend policy, procedure, or operation changes to facilitate and ensure efficiency in maintenance operations and manpower utilization, as needed. Review the effectiveness and efficiency of equipment and maintenance management. Review and evaluate information in technical reports, logistical studies, supply data systems, and observations/inspections of maintenance organizations. Research material pertaining to maintenance and maintenance management. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience involving administrative or clerical experience (i.e., applying guidelines, rules and regulations to assignments, composing correspondence, researching and compiling information and data, and records administration). Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least 12 months experience evaluating and determining regulatory compliance for various maintenance programs, including Non-Tactical Vehicle (NTV) information program, Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) program, End Item Master Identification File, and Army Non-Aeronautical Oil Analysis Program. Experience using guidelines, methods, precedents and techniques applicable to subsystems and maintenance programs. Experience conducting studies, preparing reports, and making changes to eliminate ineffective operations. If qualified at the GS-07, incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher grade upon completion of an Individual Development Plan (IDP), meeting time in grade requirements, and be recommended for promotion by supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience and knowledge of one or more classes of equipment including knowledge of standard shop terminology and a basic knowledge of mechanical principles relating to equipment. Experience reading and interpreting technical publications related to functions such as repairing, overhauling, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting equipment. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least 24 months experience which provided knowledge and skill in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment design. Experience in the use of tools and test equipment. Experience developing, installing, inspecting or revising equipment maintenance programs and techniques. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
