As a SECURITY SPECIALIST - TITLE 5, GS-0080-9, you will serve as a state Security Monitor. The security programs are complex in nature involving extremely intricate and detailed procedures to protect federal property and classified defense information. Coordinate various security and intelligence matters. Provide threat briefings for overseas travel. Advise on security programs and security measures required. Identify/analyze security requirements and develop security plans. Inspect facilities to ensure security program is operating effectively. Provide assistance on physical security surveys, inspections, assessments, etc. Conduct security inspections. Evaluate clearances authorized to ensure clearance level of officials and personnel are appropriate. Alert personnel regarding improper use and abuse of the classification systems and provide guidance on procession security violations. Review investigation results, make recommendations, and prepare investigation reports. Review procedures for safeguarding classified material and ensure physical security is maintained. Conduct special security surveys/inspections as required by the National Security Agency. Administer the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Classified Information Program and the NATO Classified Document Control Program. Monitor individuals' security clearances. Establish and oversee the classified document program to ensure security procedures of sensitive or classified information, resources and materiel are protected. Perform other duties as assigned. Must have understanding of the basic principles and concepts of Security Administration. Must have the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service (GS-07) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the experience and knowledge of methods, procedures, regulations and other guides related to Security Administration training programs. Experience developing, analyzing, and evaluating Security Administration training programs and reports. Experience planning, organizing, managing and conducting training IAW instructions, policies, regulatory/agency guidance, etc. Experience with logistics plans and support functions that interrelate with the Security Administration work requirements. Experience in interpreting, applying, and utilizing judgement as it pertains to law enforcement and military security, along with Federal and DoD rules, regulations, instructions, practices, principles and procedures including force protection, integrated base defense, anti-terrorism and physical security. Experience using independent judgment to interpret guidelines, policies, regulations, precedents, and work directions for application to specific cases or problems. Experience with coordination and liaison with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and intelligence organizations. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
