is hiring for the position of Greenhouse & Farm Worker to join our wholesale and retail greenhouse team.
As a member of our production growing team, you will be responsible for various tasks related to plant cultivation, maintenance, and preparation for retail.
This is a seasonal position with the potential to grow into a year-round role.
Key Responsibilities Growing Plants:
Cultivate plants from seed and cutting, ensuring proper conditions for germination and growth.
Potting and Traying:
Fill pots and trays with soil, preparing them for the planting process.
Watering and Care:
Maintain plants at different growth stages by providing appropriate watering, care, and attention.
Apply fertilizers as needed and perform pruning activities to promote healthy plant development.
Transplanting & Merchandising:
Repotting annuals, perennials, herbs, veggies, roses, and ornamental grasses to larger containers or designated areas.
Participate in plant pulls, transferring materials from production greenhouses to retail greenhouses.
Requirements Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift on varying surfaces (paved, gravel, dirt, and grass) for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs repeatedly.
Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
Access to communication tools such as a cell phone number or email address.
Working Conditions The position is primarily outdoors with exposure to heat, cold, rain, and other weather elements.
Breaks are provided, and work is not performed in unsafe conditions.
Additional Information This position may be part-time or full-time, with working hours ranging from 20 to 50 hours per week.
Spanish-speaking only and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
No prior greenhouse experience is required; training will be provided.
