The Office of Registration and Operations, Division of Operations has an opening for a Document Processing Specialist I.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the Extract Section.
As a Document Processing Specialist I for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, you will assist in opening and routing of incoming daily mail.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducts initial sorting of incoming mail from postal services and distributes to proper floors and station numbers twice per day.
Gathers the outgoing mail to be picked up by postal services twice per day.
Extracts documents from envelopes manually and by using automated mail extraction equipment.
Operates machines (sorter and slicer) and makes routine inspections and repair of the machinery.
Sorts documents by type tax or other information.
Identifies type of processing needed for each form type.
Performing other duties as required.

Must successfully complete a background investigation including an FBI criminal history record check (fingerprint check) Must comply with all tax laws Mostly at a desk using a computer and telephone Some travel for training and education We offer opportunities for Flexible work schedules Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:
High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Two years of clerical, administrative, or accounting experience.
