Description Are you a leader who thrives on developing new programs and growing employees? If you are this Administrative Branch Manager position, with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, may be the right fit for you.
This position will work in Kentucky's medical cannabis program and will assist those with a serious, qualifying medical condition(s) in gaining access to medical cannabis.
The Licensing and Access Branch will be responsible for licensing medical cannabis practitioners and issuing medical cannabis registry identification cards to qualifying patients.
These registry cards grant patients the ability to purchase medical cannabis from licensed medical cannabis providers.
The Cabinet for Health and Family Services is in the beginning stages of licensing medical cannabis practitioners and developing work processes for issuing patient registry identification cards.
This Administrative Branch Manager position is responsible for managing and analyzing branch activities to ensure all policies and regulations are upheld.
The position will also manage employees as they perform work to license providers and issue registry cards.

aspx This Administrative Branch Manager position will allow you to use your leadership, managerial, and communication skills to perform and assist employees in the branch provide a crucial service to certain citizens of the Commonwealth.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Interprets Kentucky Medical Cannabis polices and regulations and shares program knowledge with employees, providers, patients, the general public and others.
Provides technical assistance to medicinal cannabis practitioners, qualified patients or their representatives, cabinet officials, branch employees, and the general public in the area of licensures and access.
Recommends and implements branch operational policies and procedures.
Views medical records for compliance with applicable regulations.
Completes detailed reports, and other written correspondence.
Reviews reports for accuracy.
Represents the branch at meetings and may serve on committees as assigned.
Conducts training and serves as a mentor.
Compiles and drafts written reports and communications.
Delivers presentations to groups of varying sizes.
Assists in development, evaluation and interpretation of agency program policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Five years of professional administrative experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for
Experience:
A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Additional administrative or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.
):
NONE Working Conditions Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.
