We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team to help us maintain a strong financial foundation.
Our ideal candidate is attentive to detail, very knowledgeable in accounting principals/systems, tech-savvy, and will possess specialized skills in financial management with extensive experience in managing restricted grants and cost allocation.
This has the opportunity to be a remote position.
Job Duties:
oversee and maintain the organization's financial data and compliance reconciling bank and credit card accounts tracking revenue, creating invoices, and recording payments regularly auditing the organization's books to ensure records are correct maintaining accurate books on accounts payable/accounts receivable posting contractor payments running and recording payroll for w2 employees coding expenditures, running reports, budgets (Quickbooks Online) maintaining documentation for all deposits and expenses requisitions prepare financial statements for monthly financial approvals and quarterly board meetings tracking restricted grants:
cost allocations, budgets, reports (QBO) collecting and maintaining data on government contracts and grants, creating and providing visually-appealing reports when needed work with CPA and assist with tax compliance filing timely and accurate reports for federal, state, and other external agencies helping with the completion of audits 1099 preparation and filing constituent/donor management (Bloomerang and QBO) produce and distribute tax receipts for all monetary and in-kind donations (Bloomerang) other administrative requests and queries from the Executive Director
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field (or experience match to compensate for education) Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems Proficient in use of Quickbooks Online, Bloomerang, Stripe, and Google DRIVE with ability to maintain secure digital record Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Detail-oriented and able to prioritize Able to work independently and as part of a team Self-starter Experience handling confidential information with discretion Your availability may vary, but we'd prefer that you can attend at least 2 meetings per week during regular business hours You live somewhere in the United States and have everything you need to work virtually Job Types:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
