Take advantage of this opportunity to join our team, make a career for yourself, and take pleasure in making a difference in Kentucky! The Division of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Compliance seeks an Administrative Specialist III in the Commissioner's Office.
This position will perform professional administrative support to the Division of Occupational Safety and Health Compliance.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensures that case files are assembled and given to supervisors for review in a timely manner.
Processes reviewed case files (both citations and no citations recommended) timely.
This includes preparing citations and corresponding letters for the Program Manager's signature, updating the database, and mailing the citations and corresponding letters.
Answers telephone, screens calls, and routes calls to appropriate technical staff.
Answers basic program questions for employers, complainants, and the general public.
Provides assistance to staff regarding case file status.
Works with complaints submitted to the division; checks the division's email for complaints, enters information into the division's database, and processes non-formal complaints.
Reviews the information, identifies priorities (based on federal standards, initiatives, and agency directives), and ensures supervisors receive the information so investigations can be conducted.
Serves as the division's primary contact for one or more of the following:
(1) Open Records Requests, (2) Notices of Contest, (3) Payment Processing or Related Audit, (4) Sheriff's deliveries, or (5) Purchase Requests.
Serves as a backup for all other permissible activities.
Prepares case files for imaging, maintaining a log of all case files being sent to the vendor for processing.
Performs quality checks when they are returned and resubmits to the vendor if there are any errors with the imaged case files so they can be reprocessed.

Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
