Description Would you like to be a part of the Kentucky Medical Cannabis Program (KMCP) team? The goal of the KMCP is to ensure Kentuckians suffering from serious medical conditions have safe, affordable access to medical cannabis.
We are looking for a highly skilled individual to provide executive level administrative support to leadership.
This position will specialize in licensure and access by overseeing licensure of medical cannabis business licenses and the issuance of cards to patient cardholders and caregivers.
Job duties include:
Oversee medical cannabis licensure for cannabis business as well as applications, issuance, and renewals of medical cannabis cards to qualified patients and caregivers.
Ensure that regulated parties are in compliance with the framework for licensure of medical cannabis for business licenses and the issuance of cards to patient cardholders and caregivers in accordance with all applicable policies, regulations, and statutes.
Develop the licensure activities of medical cannabis, including developing and maintaining standard operating procedures in compliance with applicable statutes and regulations Oversee the use of technology systems to support the work of the licensure area and plan and implement continuous quality improvement efforts for licensure activities for medical cannabis.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise medical cannabis programs, operations, and functions working across organizational lines within CHFS, other state agencies, federal agencies, and partners.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Experience with policies and procedures.
Leadership and/or management experience, analytical thinker, and organizational skills.
