This is a hybrid position.
WHO YOU ARE As the Director of Member Relations for Membership and Business Services, you are responsible for building and nurturing relationships with potential members, existing members, and key partners in order to grow and strengthen the organization.
You will be responsible for renewing the Chamber's key investor membership base and closing accounts referred by Chamber leadership.
You will represent the Chamber at professional business meetings and events and must be comfortable serving behind the scenes in support roles, as well as speaking in front of crowds.
You will work closely with leadership to manage special programming, including international travel.
This position will report to the Director, Membership Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Build member loyalty through responsive customer service.
Bring new ideas and strategies to enhance the Chamber's interactions with members, potential members and partners.
Ensure the Chamber's key investor members renew their membership.
Close potential new accounts referred by Chamber leadership.
Identify key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of engagement efforts.
Utilize project management software to create engagement and retention strategies.
Utilize the Chamber's database to track customer interactions and email marketing platform to engage members, potential members and partners.
Write compelling content.
Manage international trips, including airline and hotel reservations, on-site transportation logistics, coordinating group activities, and providing travel guidance.
Develop and document all engagement and retention processes and train others on these processes.
Professionally represent the Kentucky Chamber, both within the organization and when interacting with external customers.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Must be self-motivated.
Must possess strong time management and organization skills to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Must have experience creating processes and systems to engage customers.
Must enjoy presenting and speaking before crowds of all sizes.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Must be proficient with Zoom.
Must possess strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
Must be able to follow detailed instructions and processes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no day-to-day supervisory responsibilities but works closely with the entire Membership and Business Services department.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Applicant must be a college graduate or possess equivalent experience and have at least 3 years of experience in communication, account management, and sales.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and a proficient understanding of profit and loss statements.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Employee must have a valid driver's license.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Employee must have strong computer and typing skills, including the use of and functional knowledge of several different software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands of this position require the ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
and be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods.
On occasion, must be able to workdays of up to 16 hours.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
