9K a year 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago Nashville Wire Products, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry, is accepting resumes for Manufacturing Maintenance Manager for our Frankfort, Kentucky location.
This is a salaried overtime exempt position with a salary commensurate with experience.
This position has a base schedule of Monday through Friday 5:
00 am until 3:
00 pm with schedule flexibility as required based upon business needs.
Salary commensurate with experience.

Assigns work and directs workflow through the maintenance department for efficient operation while maintaining low costs.
Estimates personnel needs and maintains proper staffing and scheduling to meet completion needs.
Authorizes overtime, cost control measures, and changes in methods or procedures.
Responsible for hiring, maintaining, and supervising a staff of competent maintenance professionals.
Ensures established human resources, quality, and safety policies are followed.
Provides direction of personnel to maintain safe environment including proper training on equipment and the use of safety equipment.
Initiates continuous improvement activities to reduce operating costs, increase through put, and improve efficiencies and safety.
Ensures good communication and relations between maintenance staff and other departments.
Executes a comprehensive preventative maintenance program which exceeds manufacturer's requirements.
Supervises department to thoroughly and efficiently repair machinery when needed.
May be required to perform maintenance functions and troubleshooting.
Initiates and manages improvements which decrease downtime or improve efficiencies and safety.
Maintains adequate spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Research vendors for best value.
Is responsible for ensuring that budgetary goals are met within the department.
Implements and sustains a manufacturing environment committed to world class housekeeping.
Qualified candidates must have 5-7 years manufacturing experience in all phases of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics repair.
Individual must be highly motivated and possess excellent organizational skills.
Proven ability to supervise 5-7 persons in a 2-shift operation.
Technical skills must include:
PC operation, PLC controls, moto drive systems, comprehension of mechanical, and electrical schematics, maintenance management software, as well as diagnostic capabilities for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
Prior experience with vendor management a plus.
